Two book recommendations for you, based on your writing: "How to Breathe Underwater" by Julie Orringer, and "The Boys of My Youth" by Jo Ann Beard.

I'm SO GLAD you referenced Anne of Green Gables. I do believe that book has shaped my life the most. that's sad i know. why not something deeper or the Bible one might ask? but alas, it's true, Anne of Green Gables and her stubborn dislike of Gilbert Blythe are a large part of my life.

Cool Kate, you're the greatest!

I never read Anne of Green Gables; however, it's my assessment that ole' Gil must have been an ugly mug as ugly people always thinks it's better to be smart than pretty - they've never been pretty so what do they know? Look at Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls. Sha started out smart, then went to pretty, then was pretty and smart and won the prom quenn crown. I imagine it's better to be both pretty and smart. Sorry, Gil, I think you are wrong.

You speak to my soul

Bet you didn't know Gilbert Blythe would get so many comments...almost as many as Mr. Darcy

I always thought that your gray eyes are exactly the same as how I pictured Anne's to be. And I pictured Anne's eyes to be very beautiful. Miss you, K dawg.
